IL What is the trick to the drive axles?

Well after ruling out clutch and trans as culprit moved on to LSD I knew it had gone out but wanted to make sure nothing else went with it.
Now I have done a lot of searching about the LSD and rebuilding or buying, removal and installation. Nothing I have come across has explained how to get the drive axles out of the pumpkin, other than use a prybar and pop them out. Well, I have done this but there isn't enough clearance to remove them completely. Now I'm chalking this one up to doin something wrong which I am most certain I am, as I have never done this before. Everything else up to this point was very straight forward and took little time at all, in fact getting the car up and exhaust off took longer then to get everything else done to this point.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Pop the upper control arm off of the knuckle that should give you more room to pry the axle out

I must have just been frustrated cause If I were to look at it again now after reading that I probably could have figured it out. I just have to think outside the box I guess.
Thanks

I removed the lower mounting points and rotated the hub upward. That should give you enough room to pull the drive axles.
