what temp is it ok to drive the car ?
Ideally combustion engines run the best at 195-200f. I don't know what's the sweet spot on a rotary.
That said 170 is too cool. Your thermostat isn't even open. Don't go crazy on the fans. I try to keep my temps between 180-195.
But during summer I can have the fans blasting and it will stay at 200f.

You dont need to putt around under 2500 rps until its warm... Just like has been said, just dont boost until warm. I have a power FC and can see the actual temp, but once the stock gauge moves near operating temp, I figure its warm enough.
I start it up, buckle my seat belt turn the radio to my fav station and im off.... less than one minute, just enough for oil to start flowing through
Withing the first mile of easy driving leaving my neighbohood and the car is up to temp...
you guys are way too paranoid for those that wait for any significant amount of time to reach temp to start moving the car

Eli063, Should be above 80 at all times. Have fans trigger at 87 and shut off at 82.
In negative temperature, I start the car, let it idle for seconds while you get settled in the car and drive it. Don't boost until over 80 degrees. It's not rocket science, it warms up faster if you drive it...
Sitting there idling waiting for it to warm up is worse for the motor long-term, you like building carbon up inside your motor with the rich rotary cold running?
