What are the signs of a Bad Fuel Filter???

It's been a while since has been changed...

Lately I have been having some really rough idling probs(dies soemtimes at stops lights)

Car feels a bit sluggish(so I go easy on the gas/boost)

So would a clogged FF cause this ?
What are the other signs?

Thanks,

John

A clogged fuel filter MIGHT be the prob. Even so, if you have not changed it in awhile, change it. You are risking detonation if your engine is getting starved for fuel

That is a simple one.

The answer:

BLOWN MOTOR

A bad idle IS NOT a symptom on a plugged fuel filter. There is hardly any fuel flow at idle, idle would be the last place a bad fuel filter would show up.

A blown motor...isn't that jumping the gun? Could it be an idle control problem? I could mean many different things. But I doubt that its the fuel filter...it wouldn't cause bad idle. Maybe a little jerking when driving from lack of a constant fuel flow.
