we juss got done putting my motor out of my car. i need to get it rebuilt, i blow a apex seal! Will i dont know what else i should do to it?
so far this is what i have down:
-1200 injectors
-y pipe
-bigger oil pan
-motor mounts
-rebuilt w/porting


i know i need to get my tranny rebuilt because my 5th gear is almost gone. and i talk to the guys at mazdatrix and they said there a chance my turbo can be damage from the apex seal shooting out.

oh ya this is my 2nd motor i blow, the last time i got it rebuilt by rotary power

 

Nice Car I really want the J spec front end oh well. You didn't say anything about upgraded apex seals. I mean if your going all out and have the money why not? Plus you can lighten the rotors big $$ and get the oil system mods.. Well I guess there is no limit to what you can spend on the motor. I'm sure mazdatrix can point you in the right direction if you tell them what you want.

 

ya i ask mazdatrix about the 3mm apex seal and they said that it dont seal as good. i dont want to spend too much, if the mod really helps ill go for it. anyone know any other good engine rebuilter, where can i find more info on the lighten rotors?

 

If you have a budget the 3mm and lighten rotors are not worth it. The lighten rotors provide a small gain when compare to the cost. I think RB or mazdatrix does them.

 

just port the hell out of it!!!!
