You can't really put a dollar amount on that type of situation. It becomes "what are you willing to pay for it?" BTW, it's always nice to pick up a clean FD but if you are going to be putting a lot of miles on it/modding it, I would look for a higher mileage FD that won't be as expensive.

Still, if it's been accident free and well-maintained, it could be a VERY nice FD.

millage doesnt matter when it comes to FD's, or nearly any car in my opinion.

cause once you crash it, it doesnt matter anymore =p.

(personal experience drove me to say that =\ )

Don't be so quick. What is the mfg date? Anything built before June '92 is a good candidate for problems. (Mine is an Apr '92 build.) At 13K miles, all the problems will probably not have come up.

As noted, if you're looking to modify the car, IMO, you're better off getting a car that has already been through the teething problems. If you're looking for a "collectible," this might be a good car.

What's it worth? How much do you want to pay? Start at a market value for a normal mileage car, $13K (?), then add for low mileage $5K (?), then add for your lust factor (?).

Frankly, if this is going to eventually become a modified car, you can get a very well set up car, 350 rear wheel hp, for $25K and save all the troubles.

I spent 24,500 last year for a 93 with 11k original miles. I have spent a ton of money moding my car as well.

If I could do it again I would have bought a car for 15-20. Which would propably still be a really nice fd. Then spend the extra money on the motor and reliability mods etc..

Dont get me wrong I love my car and its in perfect shape. If you go look at the 13k fd youll probably fall in love and buy it. Thats what happpen to me.

I would get a higher mileage FD if I was you. If you are going to keep it a daily driver and no mods, except your reliable mods. Then spend the 25k for the car, that is the most I would offer for it. Because I am cheap.

Plus after 50k, your synchro might start going out and that takes $350 to fix and then you need a dp, ast elimination and so forth. Reliable mods could run you over $500 maybe.

Anyway then after your DP and AST elimination and someone drives a riced up Teg and smokes your behind, or better yet a big V8 smokes you. You will be like what the hell, I need to make it faster. So then you start getting a catback, mp, intake, and upgraded ecu, and a greddy pulley. With everything maybe run your over $2000 if all parts are brand new. Then your like man I need to bump the psi to 12, opps now I need to get a intercooler and radiator, which would cost you another $2k maybe. Dang your down almost $5k, and your like man, might as will upgrade my stock turbos, another 2k to 4k. Now you are basically 7k to 9k down the hole. But hey you got a hell of a car that would make over 350+ rwhp easy. Smoke basically anything on the road. That is what happened to me, hehe. And happens to most of the people that own a Rex, when you start, you cant stop.

So basically, Iam trying to say is go buy a higher mileage Rex for about 15k or 17k and save the rest for reliable mods and a few mods. Drive it for a few months and see what you would like to do next, but do not blow your money all at once on mods. Each mods should be taken slowly, so you can get a feel for the Rex and also you can find a lot of new things about the rex and which mods would be best to have next. So take your time with the mods and study up on the Rex like crazy, there is so much to learn and so much potential. Also stash about 2.5k or 3k for a rebuild too. Anyway good luck!

If you want to keep it stock or mostly stock then it'd be worth the big $$. If your going to mod it then you might as well spend $18K on a 40-50K mile car.

Very low mileage cars have lots of benefits, interior trim will be in excellent shape, same goes for wiring, turbos, etc, etc. That stuff gets VERY expensive to start replacing.

I'd offer $25k and go up to $26k or so.
