what is the proper order of assembling rotors

i have the bruce turrentine videos and he just skips over many things while assembling the rotors. first he says to do the oil seal rings but does not say to put the oil seal springs in but obviously its required. after he just puts on the apex seals and corner seals. after he talks everything is like practically done. does anybody have a link or guide to assembling the rotors or the proper order of putting things?

Although I haven't seen the video myself, are you sure you aren't overlooking the video? I highly doubt that any engine builder renowned as Bruce would leave this critical piece of information out of his rebuild video. Especially since it's suppose to guide you step-by-step through the entire process.

Yea, sounds like you skipped over the part when he puts the oil control rings in (because he shows using an extra control ring to push them in). IIRC, I did the oil control rings, then the side/corner seals, then the apex seals.

thanks. yeah i saw the oil control part but he doesnt show how to install the springs and how you match the hole and the grooves up. then he just skips over the side seals and corner seal springs then just ends up at the apex seals.

You are missing something then. He does say how to match up the springs but he only does it on one rotor. He assumes you can transfer that to the other. He talks about it about 5-10 minutes before he does the actual rotor build-up (IIRC). I'll look to see if I have my notes from the video (take notes so that you have them right next to you as you assemble the engine).

Do you have the video on DVD or VHS? I suppose its possible there is a problem if you have the DVD version (as they quit selling them due to quality problems).
