sorry, i didn't really think of that at the time, but it's near the left engine mount (on the rear iron iirc) right above the oil pan.

It's next to the engine block drain plug. It's on the botton driver's side next to the center engine housing.

I'm not sure anything goes there at all.

I think on some engines (FC perhaps?) the engine mounts bolted to the intermediate plate and there was a stud installed in that hole for that purpose.

FD uses roughly the same casting as the Cosmo. That threaded hole is for Cosmo motor mounts.
