Make sure its one from the same US spec years. IIRC, the later model ECU's have different pin outs for the 16-bit ECU.

Ecu

The guy selling it doesn't agree, says all FD3s are the same pin-out. Don't have any other wiring diagram for a comparison. Hope he's right cause it's on it's way.

Anybody got any more info on FD ECU's. Is the JDM unit compatible?

Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! Can't get rid of this friggin' code. Anybody got a N3C1 ECU they'll let me plug in to see if it clears. I'd even buy it for the right price. Not interested in paying $150-$200 for an ECU until I KNOW that is the problem.

Post in your regional forum to see if someone is close enough who can come by and swap ECU's for a test.
