What to look for when RX-7 shopping?

I am probably going to buy a 93-95 RX-7 shortly. Is there anything I should look for before buying one? Are there any common problems that I can easily identify, things to look for, or questions I should ask? Thanks.

Jerry

I have suggestions that i think most of the websites wont cover, it deals with the condition of the car itself and not the engine/drivetrain stuff. Ask if the car has ever been repainted or in any accidents. Then open the hood, look at every bolt on the fender, it should be painted the same color as the body, if the bolts were ever taken off you can tell becuse the paint on the edge of the bolts usually come off. Make sure all the panels line up. Look for overspray and shitty paint and body work. Look at the ac lines and dryer. The lines shold be smooth and not kinked and the dyrer shoudl sit straight up. The frame is very expensive to fix. Just a thought.

That's great advice. More so than with most cars you don't want to buy a 3rd Gen with a damaged unibody.
You can get away with that on a Buick maybe, but the handling of the FD is so precise that if the frame is out of whack or weakened, you really aren't driving the same car.
