What to look for when buying a FD

Hey all. Well i am in the position to buy a 93 from an acquaintence (sp?) and I was wondering what i should ask/look for when i see the car. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Since all you know so much, i have been reading up on it but it all seems very complicated and there are so many "tips" on how o fix stuff that i am kinda gettin discouraged as to whether i should buy one as for the reliability issue, but my fears may be wrong, since doesnt all cars have commmon defects? lol anywho thanx for your help.

How long has he owned the car?
Maintenance history records?
What performance Mods does the car have?
Does it have a boost gauge?
If yes, what's the boost pattern at WOT?
Any recent problems?
Has it been wrecked and repaired?
Knowledge of previous owner w/ contact number?

If you're concerned about the reliability already, don't buy one. This isn't a car that your average Mazda Dealer or home town mechanic can work on.
