pull the fuel pump fuse when you go inside, or wire up a fuel cut off switch under the seat of your car

Or install a aftermarket steering wheel with a quick release. Or even better, get a ravelco...

If someone wants your car, they will take it. Nothing you can do to stop them, unless you plan on not going anywhere with the car, watching it 24/7 etc etc.

But to make them think twice or at least slow their process down if they really want to go ahead and steal it no matter what, make it hard for them.

Removeable steering wheel, wheel locks, fuel cut off etc etc.

Honestly as stated... If someone wants your car they will get it. Though you can take precautions to keep the random thieves from getting away.

First you have to figure out how often you drive the car. Taking out fuses and unplugging harnesses gets time consuming. You can wire in a kill switch that is quite effective. If you have the battery relocated to your passenger bin you can put a toggle terminal to cut off the power supply (you'd be surprised because thieves overlook simple things).

Like I said just figure out a time effective way. In the end though unless it's parked in a garage with a big wheel club holding it from moving someone will take it if they really want it.

Now, if you have a bunker for a garage with a 7 inch think door that open only off of your retinal scan and finger print... then you have a "chance" at preventing them from stealing it. Just don't ever stop moving in public. :P

haha taking off the front wheels would be effective indeed hahaha but wont work out for me lol now i did relocate the battery to my driver side storage bin, but would cutting the power off everytime i leave the car unattended effect my ECU by any means? i have a power FC. and i think the fuel pump idea would work best for me, but how would i do it? just cut the wire and hook up a switch to it? i did that with my clutch and it didnt work out soo well for me, it fried my starter hahaha

BTW thanks for all ur help everyone

As someone started above, my battery was removed to the rear bin, and I put a circuit breaker on it, I just turn it off when I leave the car somewhere.

if you dont dd your fd you could rent a storage unit/shed close by. where i live there everywhere. noone should be able to take it then. most of those places are equiped with dozens of cameras.

Except right on the tow truck.

Seriously, there is NOTHING you can do to prevent thieves from taking it. Its only a matter of time before they figure something out in taking it, regardless of how many devices you add onto the car.

I know a couple of people in the repo business, they have ALOT of things thats needed to take a car away.

If the repo people have them, you can damn sure know thieves are capable of getting the same materials/equipment.

Take the insurance money and buy a car from another forum member who's car is nicer, has better paint, with better mods, lower miles and has no accident history. It would suck if the cops found your car and the theives had thrashed it.
