What the Hell is that SOUND?!
ok now, I know I do have a boost leak so I'm only pushing about 8 lbs of boost but my vacuum is stable 15~19 (its not erratic just reads different depending on driving conditions), when I'm in 2nd gear and I accelerate fast to let the turbo spool up while I'm switching to 3rd gear I hear this beep sound from the engine bay. its like "BBBOOOP~" then it goes away right after that, there isn't any effect from the sound but I just want to know what that's about?! I know its not normal for it to be that way so has anyone else had this sound before???

i noticed this exact "whistling" sound when i removed my Airpump Control Valve 2 days ago...under 3k it sounds like someone is whistling under the hood. Is this the infamous airpump moo?

Oh he said "beep." I never even noticed that. Yeah, theres a beep at 7500 rpm to warn you to shift, it could be that.

It sounds like you already know what it is.
You said you have a boost leak?
Just disassemble your ic piping you should find a broken coupler. If not check your BOV, CVC hoses.
My "noise" was coming from the cross-over pipe. Hope this help.

you didnt put any whistles on your BOV didnt you?? j/k
What rpm were you in? does it make this sound in all gears?
If the sound is between shifts, then check your BOV & CRV hoses!! you might have a leak there?
Jupiter: is that the stock hood? do i see a ventilation on the hood?

I was around 5k ~ 6k RPM when I shifted and I only hear it from 2nd to 3rd gear.
Hopfully when i do my hose job again during the winter it will go away and I'll have no boost leak.
Also another question is, I have an oil leak somewhere on my stock turbos. Not huge but I see little amounts of burned oil smoke coming up from where my turbo is when I pop the hood. Do you think its from one of the return lines? I know this is a common leak somewhere but I dont know where?

Its most likely a vacuum hose collapsing and when the BOV air is released it allows the hose to regain its shape.
I had a similiar problem and it had nothing to do with the airpump. *check your pressure/vacuum chambers make sure they arent cracked or leaking, and do the same to the check valves.
