what the hell.........car's revving from 2000 to 2500 by itself

after racing.... i came to a light and my car (in neutral) was revving from 2000 to 2500 by itself, back and forth. if anyone has experienced the same prob.....holla back.

check your intake connections. make sure you have no leaks.

this happened once to a friend of mines about 2 days after we installed a PowerFC on his car. it just went away after he pulled over and shut his car off. He was not racing at the time, infact he was stuck in traffic at the time although i dont think that had anything to do with it. I think its just one of those freak things that just happen to happen. Check your AWS or your cruise control to see if those things are malfunctioning.

Yes, I've experienced the same situation, but not in years. It occured with the air conditioning on during a very hot day (they are all hot), when I resided in Orange county, California.

Nothing to worry about, unless it continues permanently.

I agree...
AC on full blast or just on could have caused it
or a leak in the intake would cause your engine to rev higher
