What happen to my car?

Hi,
Tonight when I started the car, the RPM kept going up and down. After 10 seconds, the car shut off automatically. Also, I found out that the PFC commander didn't show the number of the Water Temperature. I tried few times and it happened same condition even though I tried to press the gas pedal.
Then I waited for 1 minutes and tried to start again, this time the RPM just a little bit kept going up and down. The PFC commander still didn't show the number of the Water Temperature. Then I tried to drive the car and it shut off again when I stopped at a red light. I parked the car on the side and warmed the car for 5 minutes.
I shut off the car, then started the car again. This time the PFC commander showed the number of the Water Temperature. The RPM is normal and everything was fine.
What happen to my car?? It seems that the problem is related to the Water Temperature?? Any idea? Please help me!!!

i dont know if it applies to you but i read that if you have a lopey idle that jumps from 400-900, and if your car just dies when stopped you could have horrible apex seals or broken ones. I read this on the rx7 info links newbies are refered to. Maybe you should check it out
