Hi,

I am about to put a bonez SS downpipe in. I have heard you need to replace gaskets when ever you do this. MY questions are these. 1) do i really need to replace any gaskets? 2) do i replace them with aftermarket gaskets or should i just buy new stock ones? and 3) WHich gaskets are these?

I never replaced my downpipe gaskets, but you amy need to. Just check them out once you have the precat off. If they don't look like they've been raped by a pack of wolves then reuse them.

 

thats agood way to put it but i hear it is reccomended u replace them. i dont know my .02

 

you might as well replace them if they have any ware there not that expensive but if there fairly fresh theres no need

 

I would recomend replacing the one that goes between the DP and MP (or main cat) as they are a crush type gasket, plus they are cheap. Now the one at the turbos is about 50 bucks or so, I've reused mine several times for that price
