What a FD should sound like.

1. All 3rd gen forum members will donate $20 via paypal, check, or cash to the owner of the research car.
2. Car owner keeps all donations and no refunds will be allowed.
3. Agreement must be made that if sufficient funds permit the car owner to test the related effects of other mods on the car, such as a single turbo, LSD, a new set of gauges, 18" vs stock wheels, HID systems, big brake kits, racing seats, vented hoods, and body kits, then respect for the benefits of auto research will be preserved and no allegations of jealously towards the owner of the research car will be made.
4. No ***-kicking will be tolerated accept by the owner of the research car in order to protect the integrity of the project.
So, what do you say, guys? Good idea, right? Feel free to post a few suggestions, but remember the guidelines. I would also be interested in volunteering for an extended research position on the forum in which I would require a flat 15% of each FD owner's personal car budget so that I can drop out of college and discover results for all sorts of performance related effects of various modifications on 3rd gens.

Sounds great. Looks very simple, straight thru exhaust with the tips acting as resonators. I'll bet it would be loud as **** with hi-flow cat or midpipe.

so how much was it and did it require any custom work?
i think an italian style looking car should sound italian... if it doesnt sound like a camaro/mustang/titanic, i might be interested... probably switch it back and forth with my RB....
and i agree we need clips of driving and wot!

350-450$ for fabrication, that is quite a bit. I have always heard that if you have your own muffler it is cheaper to just get a custom job done than buy a catback from a big name company.
