If you want your car up & running quickly do the factory rebuild, I have been working on my sr swap none stop and it took 2.5 months to this point and i have about a week left.... But keep in mind that what you gain in reliability engine wise you probably lose everywhere else because you are redesigning the engine bay and there are many custom things to fab everything under my hood is custom and I know there will be kinks to work out... from the sounds of it this is your primary car so i would not reccomend a swap, I am having a great time putting mine together and i will have even more fun tuning and working out the kinks but i am lucky enough for the FD to be my fun/weekend car so keep that in mind....

Shaun
PS If i was to an SR swap for a customer I would have to charge 6-8k depending on what he/she wanted to do turbo wise...

who said i wanted to put a 4age in it so f*#$ off.
Uhh.. you did!
does anyone make any drop in kits for the 4AGE, BPT, B6T if so where can i reach them at. Thanks
i did buy an Rx7 to be diffrent but i want a more reliable engine like a 20B
Well if you keep talking like that, your certainly not gonna be different! Your car is gonna be sitting in the garage with problems you dont have a clue on how to fix like everyone else stupid enough to jump into a project like this without planning it out!...You have an right? A 20b takes months to install, never mind the tuning! Unless you have years of rotary experience to do it yourself, or a mound of cash in your room to pay someone else to! then there is now way that will ever happen!

either way! there is no engine other then the stock 13b that you can get back inside your car and running inside of a month! If you build the engine right! Trust me, you'll have more power then your right foot can handle!

the FASTEST way to get your FD running

leave the engine bay empty, cut a hole in the floorboard, and just pedal the car around town flinstones style. just be sure the parking brake is off first. talk about weight savings

Mattred93 if i were u i would buy a used 13brew of ebay for cheap and use that for now. it will take u at least a month to put a different engine in. And maybe later throw the new renesis engine in it. IT's 30 percent lighter , more efficient, and more reliable. i'ts also 280 hp stock. that's what i'm gonna do when i get my rx7

i'm not trying to give you guys a hard time... but the renesis is targeted at 250 hp, you're thinking of the later model rx-7's that were stock @ 280hp. i can see how you feel like people are just giving you ****, it's because you don't know enough about the engine you're wanting to get rid of. most of us are here because we like the 13b, and the car it sits in. read more and learn about the potential of a 13b then make your decision, cause despite all the hassle we give you, in the end it is your car
