What Do You Guys Think About The Sard Racing Bov

hey guys, i just picked up this bov, had to allmost go 12 rounds with the wifey to get it lollol. The kit was really pricey, but i heard that it was a really good BOV. it was either the SARD RACING bov or ARC RACING BOV. SARD KIT WAS ABOUT $750 for the FD and $600 for the ARCso i hope i get what i paid for. Here is a pic, if someone can chime in, that would really helpful.

just looking for what it sounds like, or if something simular sounds like it. thanks again for looking. here is a pic.

I sure hope you're kidding about the price. I used to run this BOV. Bought it 3-4 years ago for something like $175. The spring that was included witrh mine (pink or purple) was too stiff and I would get a bit of compressor surge.

Pic from back in the day:

I'm sorry, but NO ONE can justify the price tag on that BOV. Should have just gone with the kits we all know and love

I have the sard r2d2 and it sounds exactly like a blitz. I dont know about that one though. Its probably designed for like 20 psi or something seeing as how its a racing bov.

Yea im all ready on it lol i was searching and couldnt find anything on the fourm on thisBOV, i thought it was a new BOV until NEWBERND said it was old school, this is what the add said:

The SARD Racing Blow Off Valve features a high endurance valve, super hi-response & easy valve spring load adjustment. This BOV has been known to eliminate air leak at high boost. The universal kit includes the Blow Off Valve, flange attachment, silicone hose & 3 way pipe. SARD is a leader in performance products known across the world for making grade A products. They are one of the few companies left who make 100% of their products in Japan!

Interestingly enough, I just read somewhere that SARD and Blitz valves were manufactured in the same factory. Probably not a coincidence that they sound the same.

Judging by how that racing bov looks, i would guess it is going to be a rush of air sound. The ones that chirp have certain shapes that cause that sound. Look at the apearance of the hks one for instance.

....actually HKS makes a really good racing BOV...

HKS Racing Bypass Valves function similar to Standard Bypass Valves but incorporate an additional pressurized port to aid under severe boost conditions. They can also be used as safety ""pop-off"" valves if the second port is connected to a pressure (i think this can also be done with the Apexi dual chamber http://www.autocarparts.com/part/list/22/)

they want $250 for them here, but I've seen them cheaper...
