What to do with an auto trans?

I got an auto trans sitting in the garage since last summer. The nearest FD except mine is at 200 kms and I know nobody wants an auto trans.

Any suggestion?

I'm about to throw it to the dump yard...

Ive thrown out atleast 5 in the last couple years. They are worthless, even when working correctly.

Agreed. But, take it to a metal recycling place, most cities have one. I took a BUNCH of old stuff from my garage (some bent wheels, some motor parts, a busted manual tranny) to the recyclers and walked out with $150 or so. Well worth it. Call around, most everywhere has a scrap metal place.

You can likely sell the bellhousing and auto starter. That's about it.

Probably get something for the auto starter. I believe some one was making a T56 adapter to replace our trannys and the creator said the auto starter would be a fit for the setup. Could be wrong.
