What Controls initial Increased RPM on start-up?

my tire hit my wiring harness a couple weeks ago and fried my coils... Fexed everything and my car runs just like it did before... EXCEPT..on start-up...my car no longer does that initial 1500-2000RPM run for 3-5 seconds... It just starts and if I don't hit the gas..rpms will drop to 3-400 RPM's...doesn't die but I would like to restore it back to where it automatically did it.. Any help is appreciated!! thanks much!!

Initial idle speed normally controlled by ECU. What ECU do you have?

The pfc can be adjusted for startup idle. Mine was too high initially, and was lowered by the tuner. I didn't do it myself, and was not there when it was done.

there's really not enough information (such as good logs from a Datalogit) to give you much specific advice on your problem. It could be a tuning problem or a throttlebody setup problem. It could be some mechanical or electrical issue that has arisen since the wiring damage occured.

true true.... I feel like it might just be something simple like a possible relay not working correctly but then again it could be wiring damage related since it would warm up as desired before wireing damage and after it has stopped. The only other thing i've noticed is that when I turn on my running lights...the there is no longer a slight tic. Before the wiring damage when I would turn on the running lights there would be a slight interruption in the current... nothing major just a quick quarter of a second wave in power or what it seemed like. No longer does this..
