What is the chance that my turbos are leaking coolant?
Well.... if you have been following... My car was blowing coolant to the overflow and not sucking it back in... all my lines seem to be fine and it just looks like air is displacing the coolant.
Most would say o-rings... and I'm basicly sold that it IS o-rings.. but I would hate to shell out for a rebuild if it's somthing else.
I put a pressure tester on the coolant system and over about 2 hours it lost all 10lbs I put on it. (well it was at like 2lbs).
I then pulled off the elbow and pulled out the rear rotor housings spark plugs and turned the car over by hand. Water came out the spark plug holes... I crawled under to see whats up when I noticed where the turbos meet the manifold it was dripping wet.
Could the turbos be leaking and leaking back into my motor.... could this explain why I never once got white smoke on startup? or why I would only every once in a while get a rough startup... otherwise she would start up fine...
I went ahead and pulled the motor and tranny yesterday so I can get a better look at things... how could I test this?
Still almost positive it's the o-rings... just want to be positive cause my turbos are shot anyways...
tia,
Chris...
