What causes a boost controler to NOT work?

That is the question. Here is the story. My car ran fine days ago. I know all RX7 stories star like that. I went for a cruise down my street when I noticed my bosst was hitting around 11-12 psi. My car was just tuned by Steve Kan to run safely to 13.5 PSI. I went and washed the car and proceeded home. Then under wot the car was hitting 13 psi at low boost setting on my greddy type s boost controller. I am reading my boost guage, and the outside temp is around 20 degrees celcius. I run the car in 2nd and 3rd at wot while VERY carefully watching my boost guage. No change. I start to dial back by boost controller. No response. I run the controller all the way back to the starting postion of the dial. No response. I am having primary boost problems, but is there any advice. I can provide more details as questions are asked.

Thanks,

So what boost level are you trying to run?

Sorry, set to 10 psi at low boost. I have my high boost set to 13 psi. I almost never run high boost. It was just for tuning purposes and I guess shitz and giggles.

whell for me.. i have the the type s as well... low is set to 10 and i dont have a high because no point not tuned and not running anything higher than 10....but the low setting of the boost can go passed 10 psi... when i was messing with it i put my 10 on the high setting but it wasnt reacting as well as it would in the low setting... so my guess.. im might be wrong... that low setting is made for like around 14psi max maybe more and high is made to go beyond that.... thats just my theory

Good point, I have not run the car hard since tuned by Steve Kan a few weeks ago. I will try and get the car out tomorrow to see if I can control the boost. This is the first time I have had a problem with my controller. It was rock solid 10-8-10 pattern before.
