Its stock except for the intake which is HKS, and I have the HKS blowoff valve and efini y pipe on it. What can cause too much boost on this engine?

Can you be more specific. What is your boost pattern?

Are you asking what other mods you can do before you run the risk of creep or spikes?

if you do a midpipe with the stock ecu youll be screwed. Without the proper fuel management your car will boost spike hard and **** up your engine.

If you are saying that you are getting too much boost. I found that I was spiking because a hose in the rats nest was had expanded and was letting too much air pass.

Replacing the hose cured the problem.

What's your boost pattern?

Things that can cause high boost:

*wastegate not mechanically connected to actuator
*vacuum line to wastegate actuator not connected
*vacuum line to pre-control actuator not connected

You are probably already boosting too high with those two mods (blowoff valve doesn't count). Get a boost gauge, and check it right away. If it is over 11 psi, which it probably is, get a boost controller.
