What CAI will work with the Greddy 2-row FMIC?

Hi guys,

I was just wondering are there any CAI or enclosed type intakes that work ok with the Greddy 2-row?

I will be getting a RE Amemiya AD 9 hood in the next 2-3 weeks and right now I have the twin HKS intake filters. The rainy season is coming up, and I want to look into a enclosed intake just incase I am caught driving in the rain without my rain guards.

From the looks of it the RotaryExtreme CAI will not work, but I havents seen any other pics of CAIs like the Pettit (or was it PFS intake?). I was gonna go with a Greddy intake kit, but I'm afraid that kit might be more likely to get wet then my current HKS kit.

anyone have any input?

TIA

None that I am aware of. You can get a normal intake and use a heat shied to help temps if you want.

See, the other thing I am worried about besides fitment is whether the filters will be right underneath the AD9's massive vents. If I was at a stop or if my car was parked I dont want to have rainwater drench the filters.

RX7Fashion used to make a fmic that worked with these intakes for $1700 but they don't make it anymore.

To answer your question, NO the Greddy, HKS, Apexi, or any other fmic will not work with a CAI.

no matter what, you will have to worry about the rain. the greddy intake fits best. i think the apexi is crap (sorry, personal braking experience), and the blitz doesnt fit at all. just cover the vents ont he hood from undernieth when you think there will be rain. it sould some with covers.

I was thinking that maybe the CAI,s might have a problem with rain getting forced into where the filter is when the car is in motion.

Does anyone have any pics of the Greddy intakes from the side (not the front)?

EDIT: also, what type of material is the filter element made of on the Greddy and Apexi intake kits?

Thanks
