Please reply with comment if you've used more than one brand, you like/dislike one or the other, fitment/install issues, etc. Thanks

Bonez here... I picked it because it was suppose to be a bolt on replacement. I've had it on the car for a little over a year and no complaints from me.

lol, too much hassle for me to switch things just for emissions. I like knowing I have a fast, street legal car.

Bonez for me too. I didn't want to have to do any "simple" modifications since they usually end up burning up my whole afternoon. Plus rx7.com had free shipping on it...can't beat that!

I like it so far. Did make the car significantly louder than my stock clogged cat, but I'm getting used to it. Between it and my PFC I picked up a dyno confirmed 13 rwhp.

Sure you do. I bet I could find something on your car to make it non-street legal. There are all types of regulations out there. I just happen to break all the big ones as well as the small ones. So don't think that your street legal because you have a CAT. What ECU do you have? I bet it's not street legal. Does that Blitz SMIC have a Carb # on it? Uh-oh! Don't get pulled over.

Why?

He's not asking whether you are using one or not. He's asking people who have cats which one they are using.

There you go! I am smog legal as well as far as Missouri is concerned because my headlights work and so does my horn. That's all they check up here pretty much. Tree-Hugger!! J/K

Unhappy Whoops missed one

Sorry, didn't know RX-7Fashion had one.
...if you have the RX-7Fashion, please post a reply (I can't edit the poll).

I didn't included a Mid Pipe or the Borla XR-1/mid-pipe combo because I am doing this to get data on which is the best high flow cat'. Not nessesarily the highest flowing but maybe the least problematic or the easiest fitment and which is the most popular and why.

This is a little sidetracked but relevant to the point. I did research for my CRX and some were weld on, some didn't have the air pump nipple (for RX7). I also compared headers, Holley and Hedman are 1/2 the price of DC Sports but the O2 Sensor bunge is at the end, next to the Cat' (universaly placed). Some were painted instead of heat coated, some hung lower, etc.

Keep us posted on how long that puppy lasts, Ryker. RP claims theirs (bonez) stands up to the heat of the rotary very well. Alan has had his on for over 3 years with no problems, so that's what I went with. Can't go wrong with RP

Get a cheap MP of the net for $100 and get Meineke to weld on their performance cat for $150. $250 cat installed. Dave at KDR said the number on my "Meineke cat" is the same number as either the Bonez or N-tech cat - pretty funny how much the rotary companies charge, uh? Mine is much quieter than a MP but is a little louder than the stock cat.

Thumbs up Thanks to those that replied

This will be a good search thread for newbies. Although, I don't know why so many people read the thread but didn't vote. Is there that many people that don't own A FD yet? This poll will self destruct in two days. Rock the vote
