I promise this is the single most rice question I will ask of rx7club. I was watching clips on youtube and came across the FEED FD that was on Hot Version Touge Battle...video here http://youtube.com/watch?v=Pda_nzfrYY0

Anyway, I'm hoping some expert ears can tell me what BOV it is, it's like a 'staged sound' coming out in a few bursts...it's not very high pitched and doesn't seem obnoxiously loud.

Any ideas?

i want to say its the hks racing bov, not the annoying ssqv one everyone has. but dont take my word for it

 

some of that sounds like compressor surge

that feed exhaust sounds great, wonder if its one of their sonic exhausts.

its a very special bov that doesnt open at all

Man this is one funny vid. I think the Japanese tune their cars to have that compressor surge sound, seems like every car surges.



Sounds cool, but i guess it reduces the life of the turbo.

It's compressor surge, a lot of JP companies tune their cars to have it, i.e. orido's supra, the touge monster r34 gtr, etc.

 

Damn, so I should be glad I've never heard that sound from my car
