Question What is the best brake pads out there???

I need to replace my brake pads and I was thinking of upgrading them to an aftermarket pad. Are there any pads out there that are better than the Mazda pads? I don't want to get some pads that are going to make noises when the brakes are being used.. Also, I don't want some pads that causes a lot of mess.

HPS ar Cheaper and have better feel & Grip than the oem MAZDA pad but they do dust more. The EBC Greens are also good. - Even more grip and fade resistance than HPS and will last longer wit HARD use.

I haven't found the dusting with the HPS pads to be worse than OEM Mazda pads, but that's just my experience. Far better than most other available pads, that's for sure. I have no experience with the EBC Green pads, but have heard all good things.

I usually buy pads through Pegasus Racing. They've got them in stock and the prices are very reasonable.

HPS is about $40 for either f or r at pegasusracing.com or tirerack. It's more grabby than stock but is supposed to be real rotor friendly. EBC Green works better than HPS under lots of heat but at $80-85, I don't see the need.

BTW, use some disc brake quiet on the shims and do some 30-0 and 50-0 braking on flat land to set the pads in before you go wooohooo on the hills.
