What is this?

I broke it when I was replacing my spark plug wires (putting back on the UIM). I dumped epoxy over it to try and seal it, but it doesn't seem to have worked (I didn't think it would). So in the picture you see a bunch of epoxy. I show it and the check valve it connects to. I'm not sure what it is, but my idle is now at 1100 instead of 800 where it was before. If you know (or you have one), please let me know. Thanks.

I'm pretty confused by looking at your pictures. Did you break the nipple off the check valve, or the hose going to it? If so, you now have a vacuum leak. Do you still have your original vacuum hoses?

That may be the purge solenoid. If so, I've got a good one from a low mile JDM engine.

Also, you REALLY need to dump those stock check valves .

I broke the nipple off of the "Rack Solenoid" according to this thread I just found:

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/how-test-your-solenoids-actuators-other-turbo-stuff-802060/

I think it's the one all the way on the left looking from the drivers side. Is that what you have Dale, if so, how much? Also what do I replace the check valves with?
