Question What’s the farthest you’ve driven?

Hey guys I wanted to know what’s the farthest you've driven your Fd and how many miles total was your trip also did you have any problems with your FD on the way to your destination? One other thing what did you do to your Fd before you went on your journey and aim asking like tune up wise and things of that nature. The reason aim asking this is because aim thinking of taking mine on a 2600 mile trip. Thanks guys

Longest trip for me was about 400miles round trip. Never had any issues at all. Basic maintenance is done often (plugs every couple months, wires when needed, fluids changed every 2000 miles) and I always change my oil before long trips.

From: FL-->NJ/NYC again!
From NJ to TX and back about three times. 1400-1500 miles I believe. No cruise control either.

Fastest stretch was from Fort Bragg NC to Shreveport LA (over 1000 miles) in under 12 hours. That includes stopping for gas twice, lunch and dinner

Cool

I drove from Metairie, LA to Miami, FL and back. The total trip was about 2400 miles, no problems what so ever. I made it to Miami in about 12 hours....thats including the 1 hour jump lol. All I did was change my oil, check my tire pressure, and check all other fluids. I didn't use cruise and I left at around midnight and made it there right before noon Miami time....hahaha with a temp change from about 35 degrees F to around 85-90 degrees F. I made that trip for HIN Miami in the middle of December. I'm actually plaining to do the trip againg this december with a few of my friends.

Mine is a '94, and I'm its only owner. Our vacation drive was app. 7500 miles. It performed flawlessly (only had 29,000 at end of trip). Also, I did have the Mazda dealer look it over shortly before the trip, and I did have the oil changed during the trip.

When I bought it, I drove it from Portland Ore. to central Ca., almost 1000 miles. No maintenance done until I got it home. No problems on the trip.

I just did a trip from Wisconsin to Il and back (around 700 miles round trip). I didn't beat on it to much, but avereged about 80 MPH at 28 MPG.
Other than that, I have driven it to Florida and Penn State a few times to visit family etc. Just did basic maint. etc.

Put it in fifth at 55 and you get better gas mileage.

Last 6 years in a row from Phoenix to Sevenstock and back. About 1200 miles round trip with no problems. Pulled a best of nearly 25 mpg on several stretches.

Yea, I've driven ~2000 miles in one trip...but I did it twice. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again either. Basic maintenance.
