were can I find cheap solenoids in the uk
I need to buy a new charge release solenoid for my fd3s 13B. whilst have got my car in bits I was going to change all the solenoids but ive just got the price of one and they want £40 plus VAT. Does any one know were on the UK I can get them a little cheaper?
Note that they are generally interchangeable - the little filter on the end can be popped off and moved around as needed.
In fact, it would be better if you found some solenoids from another model Mazda - they are less likely to have suffered the hellfire under an FD UIM.

Robert theres a way to check the solenoids using a mityvac and a battery,, i bought a bag of 12 solenoids from america (second hand off a guy on this forum, cost me 12 quid),, i plan to test all my solenoids very carefully (maybe by heating them in the oven to make sure they aint sticking under heat load),,, then make sure i have a good complete set

if you read in the FSM stickied, it will tell you how to test it...basically you connect the batt to the terminals of the solinoid and listen for a click sound...
