+1 on the injectors, they should of been cleaned and hell at 15 psi what was the injector duty? i mean at 12psi on my car I'm getting 90%s and i have the stock ones too never cleaned or nothing. just buy a vet or camaro, dont waste the 7 like that, or at least clean and do everything that should be done and try one last time before going to buy a vet or camaro

That's another issue. Making the kind of power these cars make today, the old school setups just arent sufficient anymore. You simply needed larger secondaries and a tune...it's very likely your engine would be okay right now had that been the case, and had you went with 3mm seals during the last build.

I dont see why people car so much about V8 swaps. Its his car, what does that effect you? ****, if anything its making your "pure" 7 worth more. Also, if he is thinking about doing the swap, do you really think your smartass comments are really going to sway his opinion?

Do you care if you see on TV news where somebody got robbed or had a car accident or something? Of course. But it's not your life...why?

To own one of these cars is to love it and so it is just natural not to want to see them get all screwed up with hack repairs, swaps, wrecks, etc. whether or not it directly affects you.

And yes, comments in a thread can sway an opinion. It's happened before...not too long ago actually.

lol. i agree with you, the rotary is unique. but it is also finiky. there is no denying that. ive already gone through 2 engines. "I" cannot afford the replacing of engines. that is the only, only, only, reason im doing it. plus, doing a v8 swap is not perm. and can be reversed. and as far as making his more "pure", the v8 rx7's usually sell for more then the rotary ones.

dont v8 swaps need to cut out things in the engine bay or something, how could it be reversed then? if you do everything right this time i bet it will last longer than a year... hell maybe a year and 2 days lol

id say give it one more try before you do something thats not so reversable, then if you try again and i mean this is the last time, it happens again within a year, by all means go v8

Yeah, and I know somebody that would be inclined to help you out with a budget rebuild with a couple of upgrades if you did decide to give it another go.

The LS1 swap is reversible it you spend extra time and money to ensure it is so... and keep a lot of parts.

Anyways, good luck with whatever route you choose. If you do LS1/LS2, etc.. check out www.v8rx7forum.com. I have the same username over there. You can always IM me for any questions.

I have been running my car for 25k of track duty (no joke) i regularly use it on the nurburgring, silverstone etc etc.

I have mine tuned to 15psi on a PFC and its great, never had a single problem. Never skipped a beat, compression is still great.

My cars tuned to run consistent 9's AFR wise above 4k. Ive taken it to the extreme because i want it safe for track duty.

Hence, the problem isnt the PFC, or the driver...its the tuner

Next time a guy maps your PFC, ask him to try and peg the AFRs in the upper rev band a little rich. Itll lose you a few HP, but what are you more interested in, 10hp, or $4,000?

sorry to hear its let go again.

p.s im on 2mm seals and standard injectors. Recently cleaned of course No extra injectors.

Ive heard bad things about the 3mm, wlel not necessarily bad, just that they arent worth the money.

Wow Im glad you KNOW more about my FD than I do. I dont think a blown coolant seal is the same as a blown motor. Funny thing is I red your post after I just got done driving my perfectly fine FD. True I do have a bad coolant seal, but it's so minute she can go a good 160mi+ week with no problems. I dont know exactly where you get your info about my car but before you start posting at least get the facts right. My car is still running just like it always has thanks to Logans tunning and the Electramotive. So actually I'll be driving my car as soon as winter passes.

It happens. I still drive my car. I just have to keep an eye on it so the coolent level stays up. I to cannot afford a rebuild at this time, o well the story of an rx7 owner.
