Anybody have any idea what this tube goes to or should be connected to?

That should be the open tube on 5sp manuals (i.e. only used for automatics).

That is the infamous automatic vacuum tube. If your car is a manual then that is the way it is supposed to be.

Ahhh good to know.

I had my UIM off this weekend and noticed that too. I figured it was no big deal though because I didn't touch it and it ran fine before I discovered it.
