About a week ago my fd has started to start really weird. It happens when cold or warm and seems to be getting progressively worse. I'll crank the ignition, it starts and runs with hesiation and very shakey for a few seconds then runs normal. After the initial few seconds the car runs great and pulls as hard as it ever did. What could be the problem?

 

has the coolant buzzer ever come on?

 

No, it has not. I do know the buzzer works though because one of my coolant hoses ruptured several months ago.

 

when does it start to run normal? When it reaches temp or how many seconds after start up?

could be a number of things.

Checked primaries? IAC? Have you checked plugs lately, changed fuel filter?..need more.

 

About 3 seconds after startup. Primaries and fuel filter have have about 5k miles, and plugs have about 2.5k miles. What is the IAC?

 

Any smoke when it starts?

Maybe leaky fuel injectors? My car would sometimes have a hard time starting after sitting for a while due to flooding. Sending the fuel injectors off to be cleaned at about 60k miles took care of that problem, and they reported one of them was leaking.

 

A little bit at cold start, but it always has within my 2 plus years of ownership.

 

Probably unlikey, since they are fresh with about 6k miles...
