Exclamation Weird slipping of a auto tranny

Well i have a new tranny and it's about 8 months old and for some reason. This problem only happens when i park at work.I work at a fire station and where i park there's a incline and my car sits in that postion for 24 hours, and every morning when i leave ,i let it warm up and when i shift it to reverse and back up enough for me to turn left and go forward, but when i **** to drive and accelerate it barely moves then 5 sec later it jerks into gear, then it's fine, until i park like that agin. Is this a problem, it shifts fine otherwise

I used to have a Conquest that had the same problem. It only did this on steep inclines and immediately after a cold startup. Once it was on level ground, all was fine. If that's the only problem, I'd say you're probably ok.

just a suggestion..................check the trans fluid level. it might be a little low, add to that parking on a steep incline................

another easy test, park the car in the other direction, my guess would be that your parking with the nose up the hill, try with the nose pointed down. If the fluid drains out of the converter it should have the same syptoms as you describe. Check your fluid level (on a flat surface) and possibly change your fluid to a good synthetic ATF if you havn't changed the fluid in a while (or ever)

Try not to park on the steep incline. If the fluid is not lubricating as it should, you are probably wearing out something.
