Weird noise, need help
Have a ticking noise that has been happening for about 2-3 months now. Hasn't gotten any worse or better over time. It sounds like it is coming from the passenger side if the engine bay. It only happens when I am slowing down while in gear. As soon as i push in the clutch it sounds like it is winding down, then stops. Also if I rev the engin it will do it while the rpm's are coming down. I thought it might have something to do with the flywheel or clutch, but I just got a new clutch put in and had the mechanic look for any problems, but he couldnt find any. He thinks the noise is coming from the turbos, but he is just a general mechanic, not a rotary specialist. But the noise does sound like its coming from that area. Any ideas or help would be very appreciated. Thanks

I had a similar problem where the brake vacuum line was rattling against the firewall at certain RPMs. There's a TSB on it:
S01197 MAY 97 Brake Vacuum Line - Rattle Noise
Anybody have a copy of this TSB?

What's your oil pressure look like? Cause I have a problem with my oil pump and it rattles like hell, more so when it's cold. Just a thought, but I could be the only one with this problem too. Oh well, the new motor is going to be comming soon.
