Just wondering who can tell me what the japanese stick on the dash of their fd's. I checked out a few imports here in Australia and they all have this indentation on the dash near the 5th speaker, like some sort of electronic gadget was mounted there. I have no idea and it appears that there are a heap of wires that have been cut and run to my cars computer... What the????

 

Japanese love electronic doo-dads - could have been anything, from gauges to GPS navigation.

yeah its a GPS or DVD screen, very popular here. The GPS doesnt work in oz.

 

Thanks guys for the information.... just found a mass of wires running from behind the dash to the back of the car that have simply been cut and something has been removed. Mechanic does not believe the wires to be mazda originals and a few of them are linked to the cars computer???? Just trying to work out what the $%*& was there... thanks Ror

 

yea i had that with mine ,theres also pioneer sensors on the windscreen marked left and right..thought they were for a tv set up ?
