weird boost problem

here are my mods:
DP,CB,pettit ECU, MP, intake.
ok this is the problem:
first scenario: (trying to race)
1st gear:
13 psi on primary and after transition 3 psi
2nd gear:
sometimes i get 8 psi on secondary and sometimes i get 3 also.
3 gear:
i get 8 psi or 3 psi.

second scenario: (down shifting to 2nd)
if i'm going 40 and drop it to second i get 13 psi from the primary and also 3 psi on secondary. sometimes i lift my foot of the gas and punch it again and the car works fine (8 psi).
down shofting to 3rd:
always works good.
thanks

I don't have a solution for your problem, but a 13-6-8 boost pattern would not fall under my listing as 'good.'

i'd say check your hoses, it sounds like there's a boost leak from the secondary turbo..

Secondary boost issues are the hardest to diagnose. There can be any one of 20 things that aren't right causing the low boost. Check all of you hoses carefully, especially on the turbo side of the lower intake manifold. Check all your couplings and interc0oler hoses for splits.

Get underneath the car and make sure the turbo control actuator linkage hasn't come of the Turbo control rod.

Other than that a sharp rotary guy will have to give it the once over and make sure all your valves and solenoids are working.

You need to do a 40-70 run in 3rd gear. Cruise steady at 35 mph in 3rd . Floor it and have someone watch the boost and note the boost pattern. Be as thorough as possible.

You should get:
rpm psi
3,000 10
4,500 8 (as 2d turbo comes on)
4,500+ 10 (recovers almost immediately)
6,000+ 8 (and holds to redline)

Let me know what your numbers are. Be as specifc as above.
