Ok, I'm driving a 93 R1, stock turbos. I have a dp, high flow cat, hks cb and intake. I also am using an AEM EMS. The car was set to 10 and 12 psi from mark at tripoint. Tripoint's dyno wasnt functioning when the car was tuned, so he tuned it basically just to run reliably. Anyways, I was getting on the highway with my friend's sister in the car...(she's overweight). I floor it getting on the highway.. and my car seems soooo slow. I initially thought it was just the extra weight

Anyways, then I look at my boost guage and it was reading vaccume 20... Needless to say I freak out. I drop off his sister at her house, then i go back to the highway. Then I get on at WOT again, and the boost is completely normal.

Then I tried again with a friend in the car watching the boost guage for me, and it goes from 0-10-5-12 in second gear (3rd gear and up seem to be normal...)with the changing happening around 6k rpm (the 10 and 12 might be switched we werent sure and I forgot what the car was tuned for...) We try it again to be sure, and it boosts 0-5-5, then when i shift into 3rd I go the normal boost..

SOMEBODY HELP ME!!! IS MY SECONDARY TURBINE FUCKED?

should I just get all the hoses and clamps replaced?(the ones for the recirculation valve are blowing off all the time...) I want to eventually run higher boost anyways...

BTW I'm pretty n00b to this car, bought it recently, so any help would be great! Thanks in advance

 

if your secondary turbine was fucked then you wouldnt be boosting fine in other gears.


First thing i would check is check-valves. Do the troubleshooting steps on robs website. (robrobinette)
