I helped a guy carry a 20B into his house (no tranny) and I probably only had 80 lbs or so in my hands (maybe he had the heavy end?).

depends on what you're talking about... with EVERYTHING (as in, what you hoise out of the car - turbos, UIM, hoses, etc.), someone weighed it at right around 450 lbs if my memory serves me. If you're talking about just the block and trany, it's quite a bit less.
edit: I found the post where the 13B (from an FD) was weighed (looks like engine and trany are about 525 lbs):

I shipped a complete, engine, trans, turbos, PS, AC, starter, ECU 13B-REW with motor mounts and engine cradle still attached.
The whole shootin' match weighed 745lbs. Crate cover was 150lbs (weighed on scale), the bottom of the crate was probably about 50lbs. A tranny wieghs about 90lbs.
