WEEKEND PICS • Painted calipers on my CYM

Hey all,

With all these many recent brake caliper thread posts lately and nice weather yesterday...wanted me to paint my brake calipers (red) too based on Dale's write-up (thanks!). Sorta' curious how it would look w/o dremel-ing off the Mazda logo so i decided to paint logo fully...heh, I think I will dremel it off.

You ever consider cover up everything but the lettering and painting the lettering white or another color? I saw it on another FD and it looked awesome.

My buddy has a white FD w/ painted black calipers + white Mazda logo...it's hot!

The blue calipers above is awesome...very nice color.

Thanks for everyone's comments...it was either black or red calipers but I figure red would make the color contrasty and a subtle 3rd color introduction (yellow primary and black secondary).

Yah, I will grind off so I'll have a nice silver Mazda logo. Looks nicer.

I agree and seriously think you should consider painting the lettering as well. It's alot of work but it'll look awesome.
