way to keep heat down

Has anyone heatwrap their turbos with fiber glass tape to keep the temp down under the hood

this has been talked about ,try to search. Can the manifold take the extra heat with out cracking ? A down pipe will let alot of heat out , I would do that if you have not yet.good luck searching
