wats wrong now?!

hi everyone, i'm back with yet another problem. i just replaced most of the vacuum hoses in my 94 rx7. i put it all back together and after starting it up the idol was a little high(around 2000rpm). it keeps idoling back and forth around this rpm and i dont know wat the problem is? i can also hear a sound like a rushing of air, but idk if that could be the alternator, cause thats were it feels the air is comming from.

another thing i noticed is that my speedometer isnt working either?

i set up a temporary boost gauge and took it for a little test drive and it seemed to be boosting 8 max and 30 vac at idol? can anyone tell me wats wrong? do i have a pinched hose? any help is much appreciated

Sounds like you need to go back through all the vac lines and make sure you hooked them up correctly, this is probably the cause of the boost problems. Somethiing is in the wrong spot. If you are a touring model make sure the cruise cable is not pushed down or has tension on it. This could be causing the high idol. As for the speedo, I dunno maybe you unplugged the sensor by accident...

wierd

i started up the rx7 this morning and it seemed to run perfect at first(reg idol, and 20 vac). then after a while it started jarring again around 2k rpms and went to 25 vac. it also seems the car is running rich? would the hoses increase the flow so much that it would need a tune? all i have is a downpipe

No, they will not cause you to need to tune. Air flow in the hoses has not been increased over stock. It does not sound like the cruise is stuck. But it does sound like there are some hoses that are hooked up incorrectly or something popped off.
