I use a small ammount of glycol with distilled water and a bottle of water wetter.. it does a great job in the summer... I fill up the system with 100% glycol for the winter here...

Bumping up old thread for info, so I was going to do distilled water and water wetter but have heard mixed reviews. But then the track I'm looking at ways no additives, just water. So how long is it safe to just run water only? This isn't a daily or anything, but i do drive it a fair amount and this will be a show and a track event with dyno.

Years ago (and noted in this thread) the rumor was that water wetter and the extended life (pink) coolants ate water seals. I'm not sure if it's true, but to be safe I'd just go with distilled water and standard green antifreeze.
I've run 80/20 for years in my track car, year round, and it works fine. Not worth messing with unless you want to run a zero pressure/Evans setup.

Antifreeze is also antiBOIL and anti-rust. Put it in your radiator.
I go 70/30 (70% distilled water, 30% GREEN antifreeze) with a splash of water wetter. I've never had a problem in 10+ years, but Peter knows these cars better than me so, yeah. Maybe I'll lose the water wetter and try 80/20.

The pink stuff is Dexcool and the comments about eating seals is B.S. Engines had bad seals to begin with.
Rebuilt my own FD engine in 1992. Have used this mixture since day 1 and the engine is still alive today with over 420 whp. Since I live in Houston where it rarely get sub freezing, I mix 3 gal of distilled water, 1 gal Dexcool, and 1 bottle Red Line Water Wetter. I change it out about every 3 years.
My car has been running Royal Purple oil from 1999 to 2015 when I went to Idemitsu .
Converted to direct 2 cycle OMP oil system around 2012. No problems with seals and compression is great for having over 50k miles.
Some ancient rotary stories are false.
