Water Temp Sensor keeps kickin in and out

This problem is really ticking me off and i can't figure it out. I have intake, underdrive pulleys, downpipe, midpipe, exhaust, and the power fc. The water temp sensor keeps kicking in and out. When i run a sensor check on the power fc i get 4.99 volts when the sensor is not working. When the sensor is working i get about 1.49 volts. If the senor stops working when i'm driving i have to boost my car then it bogs up the engine for a second and the water temp sensor kicks back in. If anyone has any ideas what this could be please help me out.

Oh yea i have a leak in my vacuum hoses as well i don't know if that would affect the water temp sensor.

Thanks

the sensor is behind the water pump. remove the altonator and everything that is in the way and you will be able to see it. there are two sensors back there its the top one. its a simple job you only need basic tools.

Before you replace the sensor, make sure the clip is staying on. They often break and the sensor loses contact. You can then zip tie it.
