water temp?

i have 93 FD and recently had autometer carbon gauges installed, one of which was a water temp. it like when im driving normal the temp goes up to around 210-215F. but when i didnt have the autometer gauge and was using the stock one it always stayed on half and i didnt worry. i had a coolant flush before the new gauges were installed. should i be worried? is it possible that the water temp gauge was put in wrong. any help would be appreciated. thanks

If your car is pretty much stock, that's a normal temperature range.

The stock temperature gauge is not linear. The middle of the gauge is basically a temperature 'range'.

Yes, that's very normal with stock thermosensor and ecu. I recommend installing an FC thermosensor or a fan switch (or a PFC ) to lower temps.

thanks guys. i feel alot better. i bought the car from someone on here (tenacious) and just so i knew everything had been done to keep the engine going i put about 1000 dollars in parts and labor. i did all the requirements to keep the engine from overheating. oil change, full tuneup, metal ast, water, oil, boost gauges, downpipe, coolant flush, new hks filters, etc.. now im going to get that fan thing you said so that will help as well. thanks again.

What temps do you guys usually see during the 80-90 degree summer weather?
