Water Pump

So i think my water pump blew (either that or the seals broke) so I figured Id replace it anyway since its off, my housing for it was leaking in the back so I think the gasket blew thats between my motor and the housing. So Im asking if since everything outs now, anything I should look at and replace besdies the pump and gaskets (liek hoses or anything I suppose)? and were can I get the gaskets and water pump and if there is any special brand I should get, should I replace my housing too? Basically Im just looking for advice I (just as the rest of you) only want wats best for my rx7

Talk to Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda 888-533-3400. He can get parts for you at a good price and he owns an FD so he'll know everything you need. Inspect all of your hoses and the pump. You could leave the hoses if they check out but replacing them is cheap insurance.

Could be the housing but if looking closer, could be that your water pump gave way and started seeping out of the "hole" at the top of the waterpump/pulley hub area.

OEM is good to replace with. You can pick up a water pump (with gasket included) from Ray Crowe from Malloy Mazda (888-533-3400 or hmkparts@aol.com). He's offers the best prices and friendliest services. You will have to send in your WP core though to get the $65 price I think if I recall correctly. If no core, I think $90.

Not required but at least consider since you're coolant will be drained. These are eventually replaced at one point or another anyhow...
1) Replace all 14-16 coolant hoses ($160)
2) Replace T-Stat + gasket between filler neck and housing ($13.63)
