WTF are you saying? I think you need to rephrase your question.

After deciphering your crazy message, I think you are trying to say "Hi RX7club, I removed my air pump and I need a smaller belt for just the alternator and water pump".

My answer is: get a pulley kit or get a 29.5 in. (from my knowledge, I think it's what I used) 3 ribbed belt from your local autoparts store.

my man, the water pump can only spin one way, the same way the eccentric shaft spins....to you it might be a "crank" if you get my drift. Also you might want to work on your sentence structure, it's kind of hard to tell when a sentence ends and a new one starts.

Oh, and welcome to the Rx-7 club

Yea- the water pump CAN spin backwards- Why you would want it to is beyond me.
You do not want the water pump to spin backwards.

I found a 4-rib 30.0" belt at a truck and industrial machinery parts store. Easy to put on, fits great, and has an extra rib of traction.

Ok. I think I've got it.
1) What kind of setup ya'll have that doesn't have a vac pump
2) How do you get your water pump to spin right
3) Can the water pump spin backwards.

Answers:
1) The airpump can be removed a number of ways if thats what you mean. OR The vacume lines can be cleaned up with a single turbo or non-sequential setup (maybe you meant lines?). Either one use the search function on top toolbar.

2) Your water pump should need no coaxing to spin the right way ... lol. If it doesn't spin, or has a wobble or ANYTHING is wrong with it, replace it. OR you will replace the engine soon.

3) Yes ... it could, if you turned it by hand I guess, but there is no reason under any normal and even under most abnormal circumstances it would spin backwards. Does no good. Probably hurt a few things too.

Give him a break he's from houston, with a three rib i get slippage so a 4 rib is better for traction

you cant spin the water pump backwards. NOT recomended at least. The pump is designed to pump water through the drivers side of the motor and exiting by the passanger side which is hottest. if you run it backwards the water will be heated extensively before it even gets to the section of the spark plugs. this can end up in DE-TOE-NATION!!!

No Fun

The belt will touch, however I would recommend using a pulley kit desiged to remove the airpump. It will give better contact with the water pump:
