Water overflow bottle

Hey the other day when i got home from work i parked my 1996 fd rx7 in the garage like normal turned it off and went upstairs. when i came down an hour later there was coolent on the floor under the right hand front of the car, it seemed to be comning out of the overflow bottle, i looked down to the bottle and saw that there was a little hole next to the neck where the water goes in and the hole was letting the water out when it got hot, is there supossed to be a bung in that hole becuase it never has been leaking before, and also when i pressure test the raidiator presure is leaking out of that hole and so is the water coming out. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if the bung has popped out or if there is even one that goes in it thanks.

From what I remember the hole is there with a rubber gromet in it and it just is open. The only other ports are the filler neck and a line that run to the ast.

You've got a leak somewhere. Check your AST cap because if that isn't sealing properly, coolant will just drain down to your overflow bottle and eventually it will get full and drain out onto the floor.

Simple test is open up the filler neck and under normal circumstances the coolant should remain the same level and at the top of the neck. As soon as you open up the AST cap you will notice the coolant will slowly fall. If your AST cap is closed and the coolant is still dropping, fingers crossed that a new AST cap is all you need.
