Water Intercooler Spray set up....

Hi guys

Im tryin to set up this water intercooler spray. Im just wondering where the best location to run the silicon hose through the firewall is? Or perhaps even run the hosing under car. My car is RHD so maybe some hole locations are different to LHD.

For the meantime Im just going to temporarily put the tank behind the passenger seat and use a dedicated pump instead of using the rear/front window washer pumps.

I know some people in this forum say spraying water on the IC is a waste of time, but Im going to try it out anyway. See how good/bad the stock IC is before I change to aftermarket.

The reason its a waste of time is cause your spending all the time and money to spray water you might as well spray it in the intake where it will make a real difference. Also, one of the major downfalls of the stock IC is pressure drop, you'll start to run the stock twins out of thier eff range at about 14psi. Might not matter so much if its real cold outside but no matter its still going to be real hard on the turbos.

As for the hose, there is a hole under the cruise control that is pretty big and goes into the cabin. On our cars in on our drivers side....I dont know where it is on your car (might be on your driver side). You have to pull the fender off to push the hose all the way thru but its an excellent place to run the hose. It'll be nice and clean that way.

I hear you.... actually it hasnt cost me much to set this up and Im enjoying wiring it up. I havent seen or heard of any guys in Japan spraying H20 into the intake. I just doesnt seem popular here.

There is a guy here on the forums named Igy, he lives in Okanowa (spelling?) him and his buddies run water injection. If you ever need any tuning you might want to look him up, he tunes for a reasonable price.
