Ouch, those are expensive. And the whole engine bay and interior must have been coated with detailer's goop.

Anyway, spending an extra 5k to get a car with financing is a bad move. A lot (of bad things) can happen to an FD during a 3 to 5 year loan period, and unless you have plenty of cash handy all along the way you'll have trouble. Join a credit union and see if you can get 1/3 or 1/2 of the car financed instead. If you intend to drive the car lightly then maybe financing is a reasonable thing - what you don't want is to be slowly paying off a car that you're pushing down value much faster. It's quite easy to buy an FD for 20k on financing and then blow the engine or something and have to sell it for $8k-10k because you don't have money to pay for the engine repair. Now you're paying off 10k in loan for the next few years on a car you don't own.

Just be aware that these cars are financial suckers, and if you're just starting out in your career that spending this kind of money on a car is going to strongly affect so many things. (Money to buy a house, money to buy an engagement ring, money to pay for a wedding, money to vacation....)

If both of those are original engines and you plan to take a loan and daily drive beware.

those prices are about 7K too high...watch ebay for a month or so to get a better idea of what people are actually paying for these cars.

Ebay is the way! Watch for your "dream" car. It won't sell, because it won't make the reserve. Don't be shy, notify the seller that you are a real buyer. You'll be surprised what kind of 2nd offer you can negotiate.

When I bought mine it had 10K miles less than these and it is and looks at least as good as these do in pictures.
My price was some 4/5k less than that. And I bought it in Canada (where I live), where the prices for these cars are notoriously higher than they are in the US...

+1 on many of the comments above. If you have this car only and have to get a loan: BEWARE! BEWARE!! BEWARE!!!
Mine is a pleasure/second driver, I have used it almost every day in a couple of weeks, but it has gone a total of 1800 kms under my ownership in 8 months...

I have done the few "touch-ups" that needed to be done by myself, I bet those "little things" would have cost me a pretty penny if I had gone to somebody...
My 2 cents, anyway...

An FD with a blown engine is worth about $8k. If those engines are original, there is a reasonably substantial chance that you could end up with a $20k loan on an inoperable vehicle worth $8k in the next few years. Can you take that $12k hit?

Agreed, entirely too expensive. I paid 8,900 for mine and the body was perfect but slightly high milage. Just be patient and keep your eyes peeled for an actual "deal".
